Huli kayo!:D

This is the rooftop of the Orchard Central. My friend was taking random pictures and just clicking anywhere. When he looked at his camera, he was surprised to see this couple in the picture. Then we were laughing very hard cos apparently he invaded their intimate moment. Haha

My scariest escalator ride.

When we finally got on a bus from Little India, we got off the road parallel to Orchard so we had to walk a few blocks to get to our hotel. On the way, we passed by Orchard Central, the mall with the flashing cool lights and the cool exterior escalator so we just had to go inside and explore. The mall was about to close though when we got there. I don’t remember how it happened but we somehow found a way to the escalators. And damn those escalators were high! The first two escalators we took were normal but when we saw the third, we all got really excited cos it is unusual!

So this is how long the escalator is.

This is what you see when you’re on it.

And this is how you feel before riding it. :D
But while riding it? That’s a different story. I remember being so high like I was on drugs; laughing, taking pictures and talking but the truth is I was really scared. I was talking to Mike too but he wasn’t answering. He said his knees were shaking. HAHA!

Ahhh, good times. :)

Little India.

After Chinatown, Little India naman.
It was so different there! Singapore is this country with all the crazy rules and penalties right? We were really scared to break any of it. But in Little India, people seem to forget that they’re still in SG! Jaywalking, sidewalk violations, and more stuff.
So we walked around looking for a good place to eat. Mike and I tried the Garlic Naan and it was soooooooo good! When we were about to leave, nag-order pa kami ulit. haha:D Then we went to Mustafa Centre. Wala, naglakad-lakad lang as if di kami naglalakad buong araw. Tapos medyo nalito pa kami pauwi kasi di namin alam saan sasakay ng bus.

Gaaaaah, I want garlic naan now!!!

Chicken rice and Lychee juice

Hahaha This pic is really funny kasi di matino mga mukha namin. Whatta face kaming lahat! When we were in Singapore, di kami kumakain sa mga mamahalin kasi syempre wala naman kaming pera. So sa tabi-tabi lang kami kumakain. Sa tabi ng hotel, sa tabi ng market, sa tabi ng mall. :D This was the day I tried the famous chicken rice that made me wonder why it was so famous. Ewan ko lang ha, wala kasing lasa tapos pumila pa kami ng pagkahaba. And I also remember Liana’s lychee juice na nasa parang beer mug tapos puno ng ice at lumulutang yung real lychee fruit. Sarap!

Si manong tricycle driver.

Nung nagbakasyon ako sa Pinas nung february, kung di ako nakikitira sa mga kaibigan ko, umuuwi ako sa Paranaque sa bahay ng lolo ko. So one time nagcommute lang ako kasi di ako nasundo ni tito.

Nasa may village nako, nagtricycle ako.

Singapore day 2: Chinatown and Merlion

Yes yes, I know what you’re thinking. This isn’t the real Merlion statue. It was such an unfortunate time for us cos when we were in Singapore they were renovating the statue. Well not renovating really, they said they’re building a hotel room under or inside it? Something like that. How cool is that? It wasn’t cool though when we were there cos I want to see the gigantic Merlion you know.

This picture was taken at a Buddhist temple in Chinatown. If you know the name, please tell me cos I forgot. haha

CDO day 1: Pambansang tambayan at tagpuan

For those who don’t know, my family has moved for countless times already. I was born in Manila, moved to Cagayan de Oro when I was 6. I started elementary and finished high school there. So we lived there for 10 years. Then we moved back to Manila where I studied college for two years, then moved to Vancouver.

I grew up in CDO. I met lots of friends there, I found myself there. I went to Lourdes College grade school and high school. So obviously, CDO has a special place in my heart. That’s why I always try to visit whenever I can. Almost the 2nd week of my vacation 4 months ago, I visited. I really miss my friends! The people I went to high school with and especially my best friend, Danielle. I love it when I go back to CDO cos I don’t have to look for a place to stay cos I’m always welcome in Danielle’s house and I also don’t have a problem going to the city from the airport cos she picks me up. Haha

The first day, we went to Dunkin Donuts to meet up with some friends. For all Kagay-anons, especially college studs, Dunkin Donuts is the place to go to to meet up with people. Then we just talked about lots of stuff. Nothing much has changed, except that they’re on their way to become nurses and Dunkin renovated. Haha Danez and I had to leave cos we’re shopping to buy outfits for the party at club TILT. :D

Singapore day 2: Singapore Flyer

(Yana and I after getting off the bus.)

Our second day in Singapore was spent touring the city. We hopped on the bus and were brought to a lot of places. I forgot the places we passed by cos it was hard to keep up with the tour guide. haha but I think I remember pretty much the places where we stopped by and lingered to enjoy the scene and take pictures.

Singapore Flyer, the tallest observation wheel in the world. What I remember the most is the long walk going to the loading area. Haha It wasn’t scary cos it doesn’t turn fast anyway. Plus the view is reaaaally nice. It takes 45mins to do a complete turn and all we did was take tons of pictures, sit down and talk and think about how our friends are doing in the other capsule cos we got separated from them. :(

P.S. We chose the Flyer over Marina Sands Bay. I kinda regretted that. I wanted to see the infinity pool. :(

(My friends minus Paula cos she’s in the other capsule.)
